IKEA has partnered with the Queen of Sweden and a modular home company to address the growing population of seniors and people with dementia. They will mass-produce inclusive homes that have features such as wider doors, stoves with old fashioned knobs, no mirrors in bathrooms, etc.
Wal-Mart has a $1/day college program for all employees (even part time) who have worked there at least 90 days. Students can get degrees online from universities such as Purdue and the University of New Hampshire. Currently 7,500 employees are enrolled.
