5 Things / Everybody In
This week the U.S. Congress passed a significant and transformative climate bill that President Biden is expected to sign. Among many other things, the law will provide many incentives for shifts to clean energy, including rebates for car buyers.
5 Things / Reflections
I've talked to a lot of people who were really disappointed in 2021, having entered it with such high hopes after the revolutionary DEI commitments to racial justice made in 2020. But I have a team full of people who are different than me, and one of those people, October, is a Millennial and is non-binary. 5 Things / sharing hope
This week I had the pleasure of being in conversation with some of my favorite people as part of the Inclusive 360 launch party. One of the questions I asked my guests was, “What gives you hope about DEI right now?”
5 Things / Ted Lasso
This week I watched the latest episode of Ted Lasso (“Man City”).
If you've ever been curious about how to build "psychological safety" on your team and reap the benefits revealed in the Google study of its internal teams, the episode provides a mini masterclass in how to start. (TINY SPOILER) Coach Lasso began by telling his staff that he experienced panic attacks, then others shared their own struggles and mistakes.
