LGBTQ+ History Month & national coming out day programming

October is LGBTQ History Month and October 11 is National Coming Out Day. Work with us to ensure your programming is robust, intersectional, engaging and inspiring. We’ve got you covered.
Key Offerings
I Will Survive: An Intersectional Exploration of LGBTQ History
In this workshop, we explore key milestones in 20th and 21st century LGBTQ history with an intersectional lens. Attendees will learn about a cast of diverse characters as we discuss the LGBTQ experience during WWII, the Lavender Scare, Stonewall Riots, the fight for marriage equality, and the recent Bostock decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. Through these and other stories, we'll share mini lessons in allyship that provide inspiration for your own ally journey.
LGBTQ History Month Trivia
Our team trivia guru, Maui Jones, will lead your organization through an interactive and high energy Pride Trivia event. Questions will be varied, global, and intersectional, so attendees will learn about history, pop culture, art, music and more in one engaging event. This is not just a boring lunch and learn — be prepared to bop along to some favorite songs with your new friends from across your organization. Attendees can work in teams to answer questions together and connect with colleagues from other offices.
Over the Rainbow: Tools to Be An Authentic LGBTQ Ally
Thirty-one percent of Centennials and twenty percent of Millennials are identifying as LGBTQ+, yet the "alphabet soup" of letters confuses many well-meaning colleagues. In this program, we define key terms, dig into policies that affect the LGBTQ+ community, and share tools to build allies – and be an ally.
This session is designed to inspire employees to become advocates and allies towards LGBTQ+ colleagues and clients.
Born This Way: Leverage Your LGBTQ Identity for Workplace Success (keynote)
This engaging keynote is ideal for LGBTQ ERGs who are emerging or a little stuck. The keynote inspires and energizes LGBTQ+ people to leverage their identities as an asset to their own leadership journeys.
This session illustrates the principles of leadership through a queer lens and will leave your team members feeling confident and empowered to fulfill their potential as a high potential leader within your organization.
